Conflict of various dimensions is a major theme operating at subtle scales in the deeper levels of the novels of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Through the ever-operative force of conflic,t the novelist has demonstrated the essential character and spirit of the time of his contemporary American society. The article at hand is an elaborate study to reveal the nature and dimensions of the conflicts.
